Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic TLD is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level domains remained functional.

Through our company, you can acquire your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special terms on who can obtain a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
